We employ our own Quantity Surveyor and are focused on adhering to our clients' requirements and budget. We are able to produce quotations, estimates, bill of quantity production, cash flow forecasts, feasibility studies and we can prepare detailed monthly valuations through to final accounts.

Throughout all our projects our Quantity Surveyor works very closely with the client, client's design team, contracts manager and site team to ensure all projects are on schedule and within budget.

Blackthorne Building & Design Ltd operates a quality management system to ensure we deliver consistent high quality. Each manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with the company’s quality policy and for reviewing performance within their teams. In turn, directors are responsible for their manager’s compliance and performance respectfully.

Blackthorne Building & Design Ltd are accredited members of CHAS, Constructionline, Safe Contractor and FMB and all our employees are DBS checked.

We regularly update our policies and procedures and employ a chartered health and safety practitioner to assist with our health and safety management.

We ensure all our individual staff members have the skills, knowledge, experience and training to enable us to carry out the work in a way that secures our own health and safety and that of others.

project management

Our site managers are responsible for the day to day running of our projects covering all aspects of health & safety, quality control and project management. They will also act as the direct site contact for the client's management team, through this role they will continually liaise with, and plan around, their ongoing activities to ensure the project causes the minimum disruption possible.  

The site manager is supported by our senior management team who will prepare the master programme of works and visit site on a regular basis to review progress with the site manager. Site meetings are held regularly to relay this information and where necessary to alter the master program to reflect client requests or variations.
